Goal: To create your own personal shield. A shield (historically) offers both protection from outside forces, and has decorations that show your (past battles) accomplishments. It can be symbolic of who you are, what is important to you, and what you want other people to see when they look at you. Write or draw things on your shield that represent each of these areas.
What’s on your shield?
1. The best times you ever had. 2. Your accomplishments: Things that you have done that you are proud of. 3. Your most prized possessions. 4. What you would do if you only had one month to live. 5. A descriptive phrase you would want written on your tombstone. 6) A descriptive phrase you would want the least on your tombstone.

What does this mean?
Just like a shield is something everyone can see. The answers that you wrote above are examples of things that you are brave enough to think about yourself and then to share with others. Being willing to honestly look at yourself in terms of how you think and how you behave is another step towards maturity.
1. Do your best times include spending time with family, close friends or yourself;
or partying drinking, drug taking or risky behaviors?
