It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves, however, it is not possible to find it elswhere.

Face your pain, and work through it, until you can find joy in your life again. You will never know real joy until you allows yourself to really feel your pain. Even the worst pain, will fade over time; but true joy can last a lifetime.
Freedom from pain is as easy as focusing your attention away from yourself. (There is ALWAYS someone else who is worse off than you.)
Sometimes Stuff just happens, deal with it.
Be honest with yourself, no matter what you have done, or not matter what has been done to you - you still have the ability to choose NOW - how you are going to think, feel and act!
Learn how to love yourself first. If you cannot love yourself, you will find it difficult to truly love anyone else.
Push yourself until you fail; that way you will appreciate your successes in life. If you FAIL in your attempts at recovery, all it means is that you have learned what NOT to do; so try something else.
Success in life, is 90% effort and 10% inspiration (know how). Why should it be anything different for recovery?
